HUNTER JONES

We are excited to announce the addition of Hunter Jones to our athlete roster. Jones is a creative and influential member of the surfing community with goals to help foster a diverse and inclusive environment for surfers. “With this amazing opportunity I feel that I have a responsibility to be a role model to help inspire more diversity in the water,” says Jones. “When I was growing up, I didn’t have someone that looked like me that I could look up to. Even when I paddle out now on any given day at 45th Street [in El Porto], I’m the only one that looks like me. I want to help the next generation of surfers by creating an inclusive and representative environment in the water.”

Best advice I’ve received: You’ve got to believe in yourself first before anyone else is ever going to believe in you. You can do anything you put your mind too.

Hobbies outside surfing: Filmmaking, acting, guitar, skating

Secret talent:I can crack my jaw 😂

Perfect day:Wake up and score A-frame tubes and ramps in my backyard with all my best friends. Get out, grab an epic breakfast and then check the photos/clips from the day and everyone ends up getting a sick shot. Check Surfline and see it's glassing off, go find a sandbar or jetty to surf through the sunset till dark. Cap off the day with a beer and a fire pit and I’m solid.
