Sheer; don't work on their own

Cute shorts, love the colors, but they are too thin to work on their own as bottoms. The gusset is microscopic and one layer of this fabric is not enough to cover things down there. When I wear over another pair of bottoms, ones that are dark colored, you can see the color of the bottoms through the fabric.

Cute but sheer

I bought these shorts in the hope I could wear them on their own as a swim button but that's going to be impossible. The gusset is like half an inch wide and everything else is a single layer of fabric. It shows the outlines of everything down there, if you know what I mean. I layered it over another pair of swim bottoms I have which are dark and you can totally see them through the fabric, so it's kinda sheer too. Cute colors and the pockets are handy, but I wish they were wearable on their own.
