  Body Glove has sponsored some of the best and most respected athletes in the world of watersports. The history of the Body Glove team reads like a surfing yearbook with many of the biggest names of their era wearing the logoed hand of Body Glove. Former sponsored athletes include Gerry Lopez, Jeff Hackman, Peter Townsend, Ian Cairns, Larry Bertlemann, Allen Sarlo, Herbie Fletcher, Rell Sunn, Joey Buran, Kelly Slater, Rob Machado, Shane Dorian, Pat O'Connell, CJ Hobgood, Bruce Irons and even Laker legends Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Kurt Rambis who wore our knee supports during the Showtime Years.
  
  The current Body Glove team keeps the spirit and tradition alive. They are amazing at what they do, have expanded their games to become true waterman and waterwomen and are amazing global ambassadors of Body Glove and the watersports they love. We are honored to have them on the team.

  Dusty Payne

  Specialty | Dusty is an young ripper from Maui who not only does damage in contests but is also a sick free surfer. Look for Dusty to move up the ranks on the WQS in years to come. Happenings | You would have had to be living under a surf rock to not have noticed Dusty Payne in 2008. He overcame a few injuries and finished the year with two huge results. He claimed the largest ever prize for a Junior's Event by winning the Oakley Pro Junior Challenge in Bali and then came in 2nd place in the 2008 Vans Triple Crown of Surfing. He was one heat away at Pipeline from becoming the youngest Triple Crown Champion in history. The best part of Dusty's year is that with these huge contest wins he has just flat out been ripping in his free surfs and keeping the humble and mellow personality that he has. Look out for Dusty in 2009!!

  Specialty | Alex's amazing personality and chiseled looks make him one of the most sought after bachelors in the world. He is a staple on the North Shore during the winter and has expanded his game to tow in surfing huge slabs in California and diving for Lobsters.

  Specialty | Mike is a former NSSA National champ who is known for being extremely photogenic. Mike has the knack of making the amazing look easy. He is also an very talented and creative artist.

  Specialty | Luke just completed his best year on the WCT Tour in 2008. He lived up to his nickname of Steady this year with a steady year of strong results and ended up in 11th place. Luke is about as mellow as they come and the girls think he is a dream. Luke annually puts on an invitational surf and skate contest called "Reach Out Future" in his hometown. "Reach Out" is a charity that helps kids in tough times and the festival is a celebration of progressive surfing.

  How did you start surfing | "My pops got me into surfing when I was bout nine. I kept getting pitched so I went to bodyboarding then was full bore surfer dude by age 11."
  Specialty | Nate's known for his eclectic surfing and personality. Always traveling, photos of Nate surfing around the world show up in magazines frequently. Nate has been charging the big waves of California's central and north coast and is one of the standout surfers at Ghost Trees in Carmel. Nate's hobbies include fishing, muscle cars, country music, and baseball.

  Specialty | Holly is a former NSSA National champ who currently is competing on the WQS and is known for appearances on television shows such as North Shore Boardinghouse and The Best Damn Sports Show. She is now the queen of surfing online commentary with her gig on many online webcasts of the ASP Pro Tour and her gig working with Surfline and Go211.com. She spends a lot of time down at her new house in Nicaragua and is epic and keeping the world up to date on her travels.
